Plot or synopsis :
Kenji, a eleventh-grader math genius who works in the summer as a part time computer technician for the virtual world of Oz (imagine facebook a handful of decades in the future), is invited by the most popular girl at his high school to her expansive family’s home for a summer job. In the middle of their trip, a 

hacker infiltrates the network and takes control of Oz, plunging humanity into absolute chaos. Hosoda Mamoru continues where Miyazaki Hayao leaves off in this film loaded with action and emotion that combines beautiful tradition and humor with one of the season’s most imaginative creations: the luminous world

Summer Wars sees a return from Mamoru Hosoda, director of 2006's hit anime film 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time'.
The film focuses on a timid eleventh-grade math genius who has been falsely implicated in the hacking of a virtual world and, with the aid of a classmate's 

extensive family, must prevent the real and computer-simulated worlds from colliding.

THIS is the biggest anime film from 2009.

Nominated for the 2009 Golden Leopard award at the Locarno International Film Festival. 
Won the 2010 Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year.
