Uit de stal van Midasz en dan heb je al snel iets leuks. Ik heb hem meegenomen voor de naam, maar ik was aangenaam verrast door de muziek. Even wennen, dat dan weer wel.

THE YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKERS are an old-time country duo from Viroqua, Wisconsin, in the rugged Ocooch Mountains. The Sapsuckers came together in 2013 through their shared pas¬sion for the forgotten music of yesteryear. Their repertoire includes inventive reinterpretation of brother-duo close-harmony country, early western swing, pre-war vaudeville, Midwestern Scandinavian fiddle tunes, Tejano torch songs, and classic country. 

Far from being mere preservationists, The Sapsuckers are also gifted songwriters. Using their intimate familiarity with vintage music as a starting point, they pen songs and tunes that are heartfelt, catchy, and somehow old-timey and brand new all at once.
