The Rolling Stones Tattoo You on Limited Edition Japanese Import SHM-SACD
Another technological breakthrough from Japan! These new, Japanese SHM-SACD (Super High Material SACD) pressings utilize a special polycarbonate layer over super-defined SACD pits for better transparency and read-accuracy. Originally developed for LCD panels, the SHM technology was found to reduce read-errors on discs and thus incorporated into these special discs. SHM-SACDs are also manufactured with more clearly defined pits for better tracking and less resultant jitter. In addition, the label side of all SHM-SACDs is coated with a special green ink designed to decrease laser refraction. And rest assured: These discs are mastered from the best sources available in Japan and will utterly amaze you with their transparency, dynamics, and lifelike presentation. SHM-SACDs require an SACD player and cannot be played in a standard CD player.
1981's Tattoo You was the last Rolling Stones album to reach the top of the charts, ending a string of No.1's dating back to 1971's Sticky Fingers. Divided into a rock 'n' roll side and a ballad side, the essential release yielded the concert staple "Start Me Up" as well as the masterpiece "Waiting On A Friend."
