ans-Christoph Rademann is one of the most sought-after choral conductors and widely-acknowledged specialists in choral sound in the world. His concerts and recordings of music from the 17th and 18th centuries, particularly the musical treasures of Saxony, are pioneering. His interpretations of Romantic and contemporary works have also been highly acclaimed. In 1985 he founded the
Dresdner Kammerchor, of which he remains artistic director. In 1994 Hans-Christoph Rademann received the Förderpreis der Landeshauptstadt Dresden, an award for his contribution to Dresden musical life. He was director of the Norddeutscher Rundfunk chorus from 1999-2004. Guest conducting engagements have led to collaborations with other internationally-known orchestras and choirs. Concert tours have taken him to the leading European musical centers and to almost every continent. In 2000, Rademann was appointed professor of choral conducting at the Hoch schule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden. He communicates his ideas and experience in master classes. Hans-Christoph Rademann became principal conductor of the RIAS Kammerchor in 2007. He is also artistic director of the Musikfest Erzgebirge, which came into being in September 2010.
