IN THE SHADE OF ANGELSNew compositions for cello alone and with other instruments. Recorded in a stone church in Vermont, IN THE SHADE OF ANGELS, explores the full range of Friesen's original music - inventive improv's, dark rhapsodies, swinging pizzicato, songful melodies, pulsing rhythm - and includes a captivating duet with the song of a humpback whale. Guest musicians include Tim Ray from Lyle Lovett's band adding sparkle and sweep on piano; Jamey Haddad, percussionist with Paul Simon, in a duet for handdrum and cello; and Jody Elff on electric guitars and laptop.

EUGENE FRIESENis the Grammy Award-winning cellist of the Paul Winter Consort whose ground-breaking style, innovative technique and poetic improvising have moved audiences internationally. Eugene's love of nature, the world of music, children, and spontaneity, is manifested in his joyful playing while revealing new facets of the cello.

A graduate of the Yale School of Music where he studied with Brazilian cellist Aldo Parisot, Eugene has forged a personal style melding his love for Brazilian and African music, rock, jazz and folk. In 1995 Eugene was awarded a Grammy for the Paul Winter Consort album "Spanish Angel." He has also worked and recorded with such diverse artists as Dave Brubeck, Toots Thielemans, Betty Buckley, Will Ackerman, Philip Aaberg, Darol Anger and Dream Theater. 
Eugene is an artist-in-residence at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, and is on the faculty of the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

- De huidige LOSSLESS muziek die gepost wordt, is gecheckt tenzij anders vermeld! U vindt een tekstdocument erbij met de resultaten. Bent u niet tevreden over die resultaten, dan zit er een delete knop op uw toetsenbord om de muziek weer te verwijderen. 
- Alle muziek die ik spot komt ergens anders van internet vandaan. Vragen naar een andere bitrate heeft geen zin, anders had ik die al gespot. Wel blijf ik naar de beste kwaliteit zoeken. 
- Nog te spotten muziek gaat voor de al reeds geplaatste muziek. Met een betaalserver kunnen u oude spots nog downloaden. Ik blijf niet onnodig dezelfde muziek spotten, dit kost ook teveel tijd. 
- Bevalt mijn muziek niet (ik spot met name New Age- achtige muziek), sla mijn spots over.
- Bevalt mijn muziek wel: voeg mij toe aan uw witte lijst of sla mijn naam “morris” op als zoekopdracht. U creëert hiermee een tag waarmee u in 1x al mijn spots te zien krijgt. 
- Gebruik de zoekfunctie eerst voordat u een verzoek doet. Blijf niet onnodig dezelfde verzoekjes maken. Als de muziek er niet binnen 1 maand op staat, dan is het simpel weg niet te vinden op dat moment. Vanaf nu heb ik minder tijd om te zoeken naar verzoekjes, een resultaat zal langer op zich laten wachten.
- Vragen naar bedankjes doe ik niet, immers echte dankbare mensen doen dit al vanuit zichzelf.
