World renowned herpetologist Joe Slowinski is bitten by a juvenile krait while on expedition in Burma. Rani has also been bitten by a krait in a rural Indian village. 

The krait,s venom causes the victim to suffer from locked in syndrome, where the body becomes paralyzed but the mind can still function. Only one will survive.
