Post Description
On December 21, 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 exploded in the skies over Scotland, killing all 259 people on board and a further 11 on the ground in the town of Lockerbie in Dumfries and Galloway.
Abdelbaset al Megrahi, the only man convicted of the bombing, was sentenced to life in prison, but he was controversially freed in 2009 on compassionate grounds.
Twenty five years after the atrocity, this documentary tells the story of the worst terrorist attack in Britain, hearing from eyewitnesses and those affected.

This piece of a greyish, pinkish, 10-inch lump I looked at it closely and
then I realised it was a big piece of skin. I didnae really look at anything too
closely after that. There was a Bible lying beside it. The pages were fluttering.
It is 25 years since Pan Am flight 103 took off from Heathrow with a bomb in its
hold and blew up over the small Scottish market town of Lockerbie, killing all 259
people aboard and 11 on the ground. The Lockerbie Bombing marked the anniversary with interviews testimony? from the townspeople and some of the parents, widows and
children of the murdered passengers who have lived a quarter of a century without them.
