nation out of poverty. How far will people go to get them?

They are a girl's best friend. Diamonds are forever. Bling-bling. If you have one, if you want one, you know diamonds carry heavy emotional freight. They are a symbol of love, of success, of status, of tradition. But as many of you also know, it has become increasingly clear that diamonds also exact a heavy human toll.
