Bryan Adams heeft dit najaar een nieuw studio-album uitgebracht. 
Het album, getiteld ‘Get Up’, is geproduceerd door ELO-frontman Jeff Lynne en mede-geschreven door zijn vaste muzikale partner Jim Vallance.

De eerste single ‘Brand New Day’ verschijnt 6 september. 
De 13 nummers tellende release – negen nieuwe songs en vier akoestische versies – komt uit op vrijdag 16 oktober aanstaande. 
Het nieuwe materiaal bevat onder andere fast & furious up-tempo nummers als ‘Brand New Day’ (tevens de eerste single-release van het album), ‘You Belong To Me’ en ‘Thunderbolt’, evenals meer delicate tracks, zoals ‘Don’t Even Try’ en ‘We Did It All’,plus de door Adams zelf geproduceerde alternatieve akoestische versies, die de unieke stem van de multi-platina artiest benadrukken. 
“Het is allemaal heel organisch ontstaan”, herinnert Adams zich. 
“Liedje voor liedje, samenwerkend met Jeff wanneer hij maar tijd had de afgelopen paar jaar. 
Het gaf me alle tijd de nummers te schrijven, meestal in partnerschap met Jim Vallance. 
We werkten voornamelijk via het internet vanuit Canada, Europa en LA, demo’s en stukken van nummers heen en weer sturend.” 
“Ik ben altijd een groot fan geweest van Bryan”, vertelt Jeff Lynne, die eerder samenwerkte met grootheden als The Beatles, Paul McCartney, Randy Newman en Tom Petty. 
“Bryan stuurde me een demo via het net, ik speelde de meeste instrumenten in om de backing track af te maken en stuurde het dan terug naar Engeland. 
Vervolgens zonghij de lead vocal in en kreeg ik de track weer terug in Californië, 8600 kilometer verder! 
”Bryan Adams: “Het album heeft iets zorgeloos en in meerdere opzichten is dit het album waarvan ik wenste dat ik het 15 jaar geleden al had kunnen maken. 
”De albumtrack ‘You Belong To Me’ is nu al beschikbaar als download als het album vooruitbesteld wordt via de digitale kanalen. 
De lead track ‘Brand New Day’ is te downloaden vanaf 7 september en de derde download, ‘Don’t Even Try’, zal ook al beschikbaar zijn voordat het album uitkomt in oktober. 
Bij ‘You Belong To Me’ zal daarnaast een performance clip uitkomen. 
De officiële video bij ‘Brand New Day’ is geregisseerd door Adams zelf, met actrice Helena Bonham Carter en Hurts-zanger Theo Hutchcraft in de hoofdrollen.

Get Up the thirteenth studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, released physically in Australia and New Zealand on October 2 and set to be released worldwide on October 16, 2015 by Universal Music.
Produced by ELO frontman Jeff Lynne and co-written with his long-time collaborator Jim Vallance, the album features nine new songs and four acoustic versions (total 13 tracks). 
The first single "You Belong to Me" has a video shot and directed by Adams himself, using his black and white photography style, with only his guitar and “a muse” to assist him.

Get Up is Bryan Adams' first studio album consisting of original material since 11 (2008), following the release of cover album, Tracks of My Years in 2014. Adams has said of the album, "It came together quite organically, song by song, working with Jeff producing over the past couple of years whenever he had time. It was a great partnership as it gave me plenty of time to write the songs, most of which are a collaboration with Jim Vallance. We all worked primarily over the internet from Canada, Europe and LA, sending demos and parts of songs until we got it right."
