DOWNLOAD ADVIEZEN

Als je rechtstreeks vanaf Spotnet downloadt en het niet lukt om
de files compleet binnen te krijgen, probeer dan eens om op
NZBIndex de NZB te downloaden en die in je favorite Usenet pro-
gramma te gebruiken. 
Een link naar NZBIndex staat altijd vermeld bij mijn spots.
Dan zou je hem op zeker compleet binnen moeten
krijgen, want de NZB's die hier door mij geplaatst worden, ko-
men van NZBIndex ! Ik zou ze niet geplaatst hebben als ze op
NZBIndex niet compleet waren !!
Reden waarom een download vanaf Spotnet niet werkt, komt meestal
door een fout tijdens het uploaden van de NZB.

This was a terrible job, but a labour of love.
Every song was converted and tweaked to the best possible result, with
the emphasis on an as clear as possible sound and excellent soundfield,
before separation.
Because the collection has so many different ways of recording, the
used method couldn't be minimized to one only. On every song I used the
method that gave the best result. High separation methods were not used
because of artifacts.
The first 4 CD's were mono only and after a week of trying all known
mono to stereo converters I decided to keep it as basic as possible and used pure Ambisonics which was the only conversion routine to give
a good result and the filling of the room and even some sense of where
the instruments were during the recording is quite amazing.
After the first 4, the records became stereo. And that stereo is very 
clearly "Band at Once" stereo, or in other words : recorded with 2 
microphones on 2-tracks. Amazing that they managed to keep Elvis'
voice in a phantom center, especially when you know that some of these
recordings were pre 60's. There were however quite some issues that 
gave me the impression they transfered the analog masters to digital,
without doing any adjustments, despite what they say on the website. 
On the first 15 CD's at least 20 songs had a clear hiss in the stereo rips. The difference between left and right channel was on some songs quite high, 6 Db RMS difference was no exception ! Not quite what 
you expect from remasters !
This all lead to having to use different methods to achieve the best
possible result. I think I did a good job on these and I hope you enjoy
them as much as I did !

Dit is de klus waar ik nu al 5 weken mee bezig ben en bijna op de helft.
Het kost echt gigantisch veel tijd om iedere song apart te converteren en te beluisteren en
eventuele aanpassingen te maken. Ook het authoren van de DVD is een gigantische klus
met zoveel nummers, maar volgens mijn oren is het eindresultaat een sieraad voor mijn oren.
Ik hoop dat dat voor de downloaders ook zal gelden !
