The band plays melodic death metal in a modern, Scandinavian variant. According to the biography there are many industrial influences too, but that mainly counts for the intro and outro, which are totally superfluous in my opinion. I can hear influences from well-known acts like Dark Tranquillity, In Flames and Soilwork, but this is a little less brutal.

The music from Cypecore is not very unique of course, but the band has its own sound, which is quite distinct. ‘Innocent’ therefore has become strong album and is a treat for people who love modern death metal. When the members keep up the good work this won’t be the last thing you read about them.
