Still's reputation doesn't match that of Unknown Pleasures or Closer, but it's a vital posthumous collection that proves that Joy Division's outtakes could be more enjoyable (and less emotionally devastating) on a visceral level then their album tracks. Highlights include "Exercise One," "Dead Souls," and tunes such as "Ice Age" and "Walked in Line," which illustrate Joy Division's transformation from a unique punk band to a defining post-punk group. The album includes a 1980 London concert that is full of audio problems but remains essential. This remastered CD version contains an extra 14 live cuts from a concert performance and a sound check.
