Verhaal van twee neven. De een, Charles, is een jongen uit de provincie van eenvoudige komaf die maar niet slaagt examens goed te volbrengen en vrouwen te versieren. De ander, Paul, is de wat decadente, stadse neef waarvan het lijkt dat alles hem voor de wind gaat. Dat alles niet altijd is wat het lijkt blijkt wanneer Charles op Paul's vriendin valt.
