This is a terrific show from start to finish. The band comes on full compelling energy, which propels the show to innumerable heights and elicits considerable applause from the audience. The Roadhouse Blues from this show is included in the 1978 release of Jim Morrison's poetry colled An American Prayer.
Philadelphia's Evening Bulletin lauds the show:-
"Their music paints a spiraling turbulence which increases in thrust and power as they progress through each number. By concert's end, they and their listeners are exhausted from an experience which is the best musical version of an LSD trip given by any contemporary rock group. Morrison's gut blasts and drawn out moans from his powerful voice combine with Manzarek's organ arrangements to lull the Doors' audience into a turbulent, hypnotic trance...the trance never wore off last night."
