Acoustic folk, Scottish, traditional, gaelic, bagpipes, Acharacle.

Acharacle is een plaatsje in een afgelegen gebied aan de westkust van Schotland. Ik heb daar, jaren geleden, vrij veel tijd doorgebracht, muziek geluisterd en gemaakt en mensen leren kennen. Deze jonge mensen laten de muzikale traditie uit dit gebied voortleven en hun energie is overweldigend. Een feest van herkenning voor mij. Ik ga hen zeker opzoeken als ik er weer een keertje ben. 

FRAS have stormed their way through the West coast of Scotland and beyond with their iconic pipe heavy sound. A thundering four piece from na Garbh Chrìochan of box, flute, pipes and guitar. FRAS are Angus Binnie on pipes and whistle, Colin Masterton on flutes, Kirsten MacLeod on accordion and Murdo Cameron on guitar.  

Flinne, their latest, showcases entirely original compositions, offering shelter from the elements whilst embracing their signature storming West Highland sound.
