Plot:
-Hounded by the media everywhere he goes, movie star Soo Ta (Kang Ji Hwan) 
has a temper that matches his paycheck, and a bent for trouble. Shooting for his 
latest production, a gangster film, comes to standstill after he beats up another 
actor. Too invested in his role, Soo Ta recruits real-life gangster Gang Pae (So Ji Sub)
to become his new co-star. Gang Pae agrees, but on one condition: all the violence 
in the movie has to be real instead of staged. Winner takes all including the 
Best Actor Award in Kim Ki Duk protege Jang Hoon's stylish action blockbuster 
Rough Cut (a.k.a. A Movie Is A Movie). Appearing in his first production since 
completing his military service, Korean Wave star So Ji Sub makes his long-awaited 
screen comeback four years after the hit TV drama I'm Sorry, I Love You turned him
into a household name throughout Asia. Still the lonesome brooder, So Ji Sub faces 
off against television heartthrob Kang Ji Hwan (Host and Guest, Hong Gil Dong) in this 
reality-blurring actioner about two actors dueling it out in front of the camera to see who 
steals the most spotlight. Just for the record, So Ji Sub and Kang Ji Hwan ended up 
sharing the Best New Actor award at the 29th Blue Dragon Awards for their performances. 
Attracting over a million theatergoers in its first week of release, Rough Cut is the second
non-self-directed film produced by Kim Ki Duk after Jeon Jae Hong's Beautiful
