How do I know if it's not a RT3 ? 
- No hard drive!
- If software version is 6.X (long press menu -> diagnosis)
- Car is before late 2007.

Systemsoftware (preferred to be installed) 8.20 is included.
How do you know if you have the correct software version?:
-Switch the power on
-Hold down the MENU button until you get the extended menu
-Select DEVICE DESCRIPTION
-The software version will then appear
If your software version exceeds 5.5 or 6.6 then your software has been upgraded. 
If your system software has not been upgraded, advise is you install the included 8.20 cd.

Once updated the syssoftware, you'll have to reactivate USB. If you're not known to mirascript or do not want to go to dealert for an activation, please do not update the firmware to 8.20.

The systemsoftwareupdate may take 1hr. Do not retract the update media when it "hangs".
Mapupdates via usb? Mount the .img file with Deamon and copy the appearing files to a suitable FORMATTED USB.

Burn with Imgaburn and Verbatim on lowest speed possible, no further problems known.
