Jerry Lee Lewis - 1989 - Duets



This odd collection of Duets was released in 1978 in order to take advantage of public attention then directed toward Elvis Presley, who had died the preceding year. The Sun label basically dug through its Jerry Lee Lewis archives, pulled out some of the better recordings, and added new vocals from Presley sound-alike Jimmy Ellis, resulting in a discombobulating (he really does sound like the King) and disingenuous collection of premium Florida swampland. [The "Collector's Edition" CD reissue includes the track "Good Rockin' Tonight," not included in the original LP version.]
