Gov't Mule (uitgesproken regering Mule) is een rock-en jam-band opgericht in 1994 als een Allman Brothers Band zijproject. They released their debut album Gov't Mule in 1995 . Ze brachten hun debuutalbum Gov't Mule in 1995. Gov't Mule has become a staple act at music festivals across North America, boasting members from other notable bands. Gov't Mule is uitgegroeid tot een nietje optreden op muziekfestivals in Noord-Amerika, trots leden van andere opmerkelijke bands
