Liner notes: Till this day the separate group of the 'Old Believers' uses the old Russian liturgical chant composed by A.-F. Lvow. He was the director of the chapel of the Imperial Court and composer of the national anthem of the tsars. Lvow composed his music under the influence of 19th century German music.
