Blitz Street is a documentary series which takes a look at what life was like living in the United Kingdom during the Blitz in the second world war. A special terrace of houses have been built on a remote military base and are subjected to a barrage of high explosive bombs and incendiaries, similar to those dropped by the Luftwaffe during the war. The series is presented by Tony Robinson. 

In the summer of 1944, Hitler sent over his new secret 
weapon, the V1, or "doodlebug", a jet-powered pilotless 
plane packed with a powerful explosive. The V1 is 
detonated on Blitz Street.
