27 Nederlandse vrouwen zijn mogelijk door de bijwerkingen van Diane 35 overleden. Diane 35 is een middel tegen acne maar wordt vooral gebruikt als anticonceptiepil. Begin van dit jaar waren er tien sterfgevallen bekend. 

De meeste vrouwen stierven aan een longembolie, een vorm van trombose. De meerderheid van de slachtoffers was bij overlijden jonger dan dertig jaar. Diane 35  is sinds 1987 in Nederland verkrijgbaar.

Hoe kan het dat een anticonceptiepil ernstige gezondheidsgevaren met zich mee brengt?
