FanFest. Bruno Sammartino & Ivan Koloff

The NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest, three huge days and four nights featuring dozens of wrestling’s legendary heroes and villains and a bevy of today’s top superstars and future legends, was held Thursday through Sunday, August 14-17, 2008 at the Hilton University Place Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Stars from the glory days of the National Wrestling Alliance converged on the Carolinas not only to renew old friendships but to rekindle old rivalries. Lots of reminiscing about the “good ol’ days” of wrestling, as well.

Former WWWF world champions Bruno Sammartino and “The Russian Bear” Ivan Koloff are icons in the sport.The pair was featured in a Sunday morning question-and-answer session, sharing stories about their historic battles and discussing their larger-than-life careers.
