Synopsis:

Delirious over-the-top action rules the screen in Gun & Rose, a triad gangland action film from director Clarence Fok (Naked Killer). Suave triad killer Alan (producer Alan Tang) is the adopted son of a powerful Taiwan triad family, and has gained so much favor within the organization that he outranks the head's own two sons Simon (Simon Yam) and Bowie (Bowie Lam). The jealousy and intrigue hit a fever pitch when Bowie makes an attempt on Alan's life. He fails, but is killed by his own father for planning the hit! Simon goes ballistic and stages a coup, and Alan has to flee to Hong Kong to escape the heat. He hides out with his crippled wife Monica Chan, but when Simon's pet assassin (a charismatic Leon Lai) comes gunning for him, Alan makes a righteous return! Andy Lau co-stars as a lowly HK hood who teams with Alan for his big return to the underworld. Featuring a romanticized vision of the triad underworld, Gun & Rose has earned a sizable fan base thanks to its stylized gunplay and acrobatic action sequences, which are dazzling and over-the-top even by Hong Kong Cinema standards! Also starring Loletta Lee and Carrie Ng, Gun & Rose is a surefire action fix for fans of the Hong Kong triad genre!
