Earl Klugh, Harvey Mason, Gerald Albright, George Duke, Sheila E., Jeff Lober, Tom Scott, Howard Hewitt, Wilton Felder, Najee, Ray Parker Jr, Kirk Whallum, and so on....WOW! is Paul never alone. 

This is one of my very favoirte albums by him. I love his music because it always puts me in a good mood.If I want to chase away the blues or just chill I trot out my Paul Jackson Jr. collection. Every song on this album is sensational, but six selections really rock. 

"People get ready"...outstanding. Curtis Mayfield would be proud. This was the first song I heard from the album and I was prompted to immediately go to the record store and purchase the album. The stirring gospel solo and thumping bass guitar make the song a religious experience. Over he years I have not heard a better rendition. 

"Soulful strut" is one of my all-time favorite songs (favorite versions are the original Young-Holt Limited instrumental, and a vocal rendition entitled "Am I the Same Girl" by the British group Swing Out Sister). This version is right up there with the rest. That hand-clapping, synthesizer opening has you boppin' in your seat and tappin' your feet right from the start, Kirk on sax is max, and Paul Jr and Ray Jr give great guitar. 

"Reunited" is smooth and mellow and "Lets start again" is soulful and beautiful. That Tim Owens...I just love his voice. The duet with Sharon Gibson is the best of the album. I fully expected that "Where is the love" featuring hallowed howard hewitt vocals in combo with a singer going by the name of Jasmin would probably be a favorite. Instead it rings hollow compared to duet on this song. "Lets Start Again" is a gem! 

"Knighttime" is very up-tempo but pleasing and manages to maintain the mood of the album. "End to perfect day" is breezy, finger snappin", melodic, and perhaps should end the album. 

The rest of the songs are perfectly enjoyable just not as nice as my favorites. The only selection that is really a huge disappointment due to my own expectations is "Where is the love" that duet did nothing to showcase the vocal talents of the artists or enhance the arraangement of the song. It was the least creative. 

All I can say is buy it....you'll like it!
