Disco Fever was een New York City dance club gelegen in de South Bronx op Jerome Avenue 
en 167th street, die actief van 1976 tot 1986 was. Na in eerste instantie niet te zeer veel klanten 
te trekken, overtuigd Sal Abbatiello zijn vader, de eigenaar, bij de hand de teugels. Abbatiello 
snel begonnen met hiphop artiesten waaronder een jonge Grandmaster Flash en de club sterk 
toegenomen in populariteit en bekendheid. 
Hip hop-groep Run-DMC uitgevoerd hun eerste show in de club.
