Jazz musician CHARLIE PARKER was a musical legend.
He was the subject of Clint Eastwoods recent feature film 
Bird  and now the legend of Charlie Parker comes to life with 
the second part of this unique musical tribute. It features 
some of Americas finest living jazz players and singers including
saxophonist PHIL WOODS, who inherited the masters actual
saxophone and has been the leading light in the Be-Bop
tradition ever since. Master lyricist and singer JON HENDRICKS,
the founding father of thelegendary group, lambert, Hendricks
& Ross represents the vocal side of Parkerís music. Jon
Hendricks skill at putting lyrics to jazz classics was celebrated
in his recent Grammy Award for his work on The Manhatten
Transfer album -Vocalese-.
