"Summer Nights" showcases Topinka's skills and mastery of the jazz guitar and includes a stellar cast of accompanying musicians, including Tom Cottone on drums, Chris Plunkett on bass, Dusty Micale on keys, Brad Mandigo on piano, Karen Rodriquez on vocals and Chuggy Carter on percussion, with Rick Brunermer leading the horn section. Topinka's spry originals are the focus on this album of smooth jazz, inventive arrangements and a variety of stylings within the realm of smooth jazz are the order of the day on the title track, "Summer Nights," "Movin' On," "Blue Night," and "Holiday Bossa."

Jerry opened for David Beniot at the Count Basie Theatre in July 2007 and, in October 2008, Jerry played a concert with world-class guitarist Martin Taylor. Martin's next U.S. tour is scheduled for 2010 and Jerry will again be performing with him. Jerry recently returned from well-received performances in St. Martin/St. Maarten at the elegant La Samanna resort and the eclectic beach club Karacter.
