In Series 4 of Monarch of the Glen, after the untimely demise of Hector, Molly has been to Africa trying to get away from it all. She returns to the stately Glenbogle to discover that Archie has a new vision for the estate - wolves! But the wild animals are not the only newcomers to the Estate which cause problems. Archie appoints a new housekeeper as a surprise for his fiancee, Lexie - unfortunately she feels undermined and is underwhelmed by the gesture. The marriage plans are in jeopardy, the two women are fighting so Archie delivers Lexie an ultimatum - choose her future, to remain as cook or become the Laird's wife.
