Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways is an American TV documentary series created for HBO by Dave Grohl. The documentary was made concurrently with the Foo Fighters' upcoming eighth album Sonic Highways. Grohl described the project as "a love letter to the history of American music".
Episode 1; The musical evolution of the city of Chicago from the 1950's to 1980's, focusing on the Blues, specifically Buddy Guy; the Foo Fighters connect with At Electrical Audio studio owner Steve Albini; Cheap Trick's Rick Neilsen joins the band to record the first song on their new album.
