The beautifully polished, irresistable sounds of Sade, seen and heard live in an intimate concert from 1984 - when the band was first discovering the enormous international success that it continues to enloy to this day.

Deftly shot, the program's visual focus is on the gorgeous singer Sade herself: het Nigerian-English beauty, chic, laid-back fashion sense, and crystalline singing defined a certain brand of musical cool for mid-1980's pop. Yet the band's overwhelmingly fine musicianship - never pushy, always understated, the height of sophistication - is abundant evident as well.

The early hits are here: "Your love is king", "Smooth operator", "Cherry pie", "Is it a Crime" and others. Most of all, though, this concert returns us to the moment when Sade appeared on the scene and laid claim to a unique sound that would continue to charm us for decades.
