Raid (The Movie 2003)

Raid is a hitman with morals. Now he has come back to Finland after many years to investigate the strange circumstances surrounding the suicide of his former loved one. The movie is packed with colorful characters who are played by the best of the best finnish actors.

Raid was very popular tv-serie in Finland a couple of years ago. It was a good story of dirty political deals including many human casualties. There were two kind of main characters. Polices and villains. Police leading characters investigate a case that was too hot to handle. Even their own superiors constantly try to brake the investigations and many finnish leading politics were involved. At the same time a professional hitman called Raid tries toinvestigate the same thing for his own reasons. Both sides had very different working ways, but they had a mutual goal, so policemen try to look in a different way as much as they can when Raid handles a situation his way.

The movie Raid is a sequel to this tv-serie. Like the tv-series it is very comical and it has superior dialogs and absolutely not any boring characters. The film is very good and surely worth of watching. There was a certain feeling that too many original tv-serie characters was put in the movie just because they are fun comical sidekicks, but that is the most common problem of all sequels.
