Deluxe Edition album by William Clarke was released Feb 23, 1999 on the Alligator label. All tracks have been digitally remastered using 20-bit technology. Deluxe Edition songs William Clarke was the new harmonica genius for the millennium when his heart gave out on tour in 1996 and he passed away at age 45. This Deluxe Edition brings together 16 tracks culled primarily from his four Alligator albums along with three previously unreleased tracks from sessions conducted in 1986 and 1995, every track a winner. Deluxe Edition album Clarke's tone is massive and only outdone by the wealth of ideas he constantly poured into his instrument. While others were still trying to imitate Little Walter, Clarke took the lessons he learned from George Harmonica Smith and built one of the most original and truly breathtaking styles in modern blues.
