The Right Track to Copenhagen Fields
 
In this, the third in our "The Right Track to..." series of DVDs, we present Copenhagen Fields.

Built in 2mm Finescale, it is the creation of The Model Railway Club and represents the dark environs between the north of two tunnels
(Gasworks and Copenhagen) immediately beyond the fabled 

GNR/LNER London terminus of Kings Cross.

Made more famous as a location for the wonderful 1955 Ealing comedy "The Lady Killers", Copenhagen Fields captures perfectly this
fantastic piece of real railway geography.

Tim Watson, a key member of The Model Railway Club, takes Tony Wright on a guided tour of this wonderfully evocative creation where all the various elements are explained in detail.

The history of the project (it's been under construction for over a quarter of a century), the scenic modelling, architectural modelling, control, trackwork, locomotives and rolling stock - all of these elements are clearly demonstrated. 

Because it is built in 2mm Finescale, wheel profiles and track gauge are to a much higher standard and closer tolerances than N Gauge. 
The layout, as you will see from this programme, runs superbly and a rich variety of East Coast Main Line trains of the past parade by.

So, take a trip back in time - to a time before graffiti and electrification spoiled it all.
