Scriptwriter Ulf Ryberg has already shown that he is able to manage condensed and ghastly moods in the tv series The Crying Minister (Den gråtande ministern), Kvinnan i det låsta rummet, Det grovmaskiga nätet and Dypt vand (Djupt vatten). This collaboration with Daniel Lind Lagerlöf hasn't resulted in a traditional police story but a tv thriller that asks unpleasant questions: how can ordinary people get pulled into an extremely violent course of events and what affect does it have?
This is one of the best 2001 Swedish thriller TV series. The premise is not original (a man accidently kills another man and doesn't turn himself in, now the crime has to be covered up) but the execution is quite brilliant. It says something about a brilliant cast when such a fine actor as Göran Ragnerstam turns up in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it role, almost a cameo. The same goes for the always brilliant Michael Nyqvist. The four leads, Magnus Krepper, Jonas Karlsson, Johanna Sällström and Ralph Carlsson are all brilliant, with Karlsson and Carlsson being the stand-outs.

Johanna Sällström was born on December 30, 1974 in Stockholm, Sweden. In 1997 she won the award Guldbaggen for best female leading role in the movie Under ytan (1997), which became her big breakthrough. Getting tired off all the interest around herself she moved to Denmark where she worked at a café shop, but in the year 2000 she went back to Sweden and continued her acting career. She survived the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake during a holiday in Thailand (26 December 2004). She was best known for playing the police agent Linda Wallander in "Wallander" (2005). Even though Johanna Sällström often played tough on the screen, it is said she was much more shy and quiet in her private life. Sällström was found dead by the police at her home in Malmö, Sweden on 13th of February 2007 (suicide).
