In 1982, Buddy Rich filmed three shows over three days at the Statler Hotel in New York. They were never aired - in fact, never edited. This Masterpiece is in pristine condition and will be released on Drum Channel as The Buddy Rich Show in January 2009.

This event, Buddy Rich Up Close, is a special edit of The Buddy Rich Show. It spotlights six songs - Love For Sale, Bugle Call Rag, West Side Story, Birdland, Greensleeves, and Dancing Men - with as many cameras as possible focusing on Buddy and his incredible drumming technique. Using Drum Channel's player and five player-switches, you can view the show's main edit as well as watch it with three different versions of audio - drums hot, band hot, and bass drum hot - AND on switch 5 you can watch it in slow motion!
