Description
De reeks speelt zich af in de middeleeuwen in een niet nader gespecificeerd Europees land. De hoofdpersonages zijn Johan, de page van de koning, en zijn vriend Pirrewiet, een relatief klein mannetje. Johan en Pirrewiet krijgen te maken met allerlei mythische wezens zoals tovenaars, heksen, reuzen en de smurfen (feitelijk een soort dwergen).
