Concert: A powerhouse performance by Elvis - his nervousness from returning to live concerts is definitely worn off, as his confidence is awe inspiring. The "Life Story Monologue" was told by Elvis on stage in his early 1969 shows. This monologue runs an amazing 7:59 on this disc and is insightful and funny ! Not many shows were opened with "Blue Suede Shoes" ! Elvis plays guitar on "Baby , What You Want Me To Do". "Hound Dog" and "What'd I Say" were given the powerhouse treatment in Elvis' 1969 shows , and these renditions are standouts. "Suspicious Minds" clocks in over 7 minutes ! Great versions of "Johnny B. Goode" and "Runaway" ! "Words" wasn't performed much after the 1969 shows , and is a remarkable song when sung by Elvis. Incl. covers
