Description
Zhong Luo started martial arts training at age 3, under his father, the Grandmaster, Luo Rong Qiang, known by the affectionate nickname, Mai Yu Qiang ("Fishmonger Qiang"). A master of traditional Southern Chinese martial arts (Long Ying aka "Dragon Form" as well as Bak Mei aka "White Eyebrow"), Mai Yu Qiang, trained his son intensely, so that at age 5, Zhong Luo began participating in hand-form competitions and winning many awards. By the age of 6, he was recruited by the Chinese government into the elite government-sponsored acrobatics school (the Chinese circus). At 12 years old, Zhong Luo began to practice San Shou, Chinese kick-boxing, and also began Mongolian-style wrestling. He added weight-lifting at age 14, winning wrestling, power-lifting and body building competitions during the same time-period, which is how he developed the impressive physique that gives added power to Sifu Luo's practice of Bak Mei.
