Start of The Block Sky High 2013

Today was off to a flying start with the new season of the Block Sky High Australia
and an epic renovation challenge for the contestants.

The 5 teams of contestants spent their first night in the place they were going to renovate
but they didn’t know that until the next morning when Scotty Cam had them assemble on the roof
of the old 6 story motel in Melbourne…

To their surprise they were informed they were going to be renovating the Biz Motel over the next 11 weeks.
Each team would have a floor to renovate converting a 8 room, 8 bathroom motel level
into a 3 bedroom, 5 bathroom luxury apartment.
That’s over 80 rooms to be demolished and renovated.
They will also be renovating the foyer and a roof-top garden and terrace.

All the teams were assigned a level to work on for the first 48 hours and $10,000 budget.
They would have to renovate one bedroom and one bathroom in this time.
Who ever wins this first challenge has the choice to pick which level they want in the block.
Since level 5 is the top level, it is the Penthouse.
And so the fun begins!
